Gene Raymond

(1908-1998)

Gene was 12 years old when he began his acting career on the Broadway stage.

Although his later move from stage to screen was successful, he never became a top star.  His niche was in supporting roles and he had many noteworthy ones during his lengthy film career that began in 1931 and ended in 1970. 

Gene was married to actress Jeanette MacDonald from 1937 until she died in 1965.
