54. Doris Kenyon

Doris Kenyon

(1897-1979)

Doris's singing voice was top-notch and Victor Herbert started her career with a role in his musical "The Princess Pat" (1913).  Although not an outstanding actress, she never-the-less did very well in silent movies, one notable one was as a co-star with Valentino in "Monsieur Beaucaire".

In 1927 she married Milton Sills. Milton died suddenly three years later and left her disconsolate.  Although considering retirement, she returned to make several more films.

This 6.5" x 8.5" vintage full-length photo is in fine condition. There is a slight red tint on the lips.

The black ink signature, with "Best Wishes", is in a nicely contrasting light area.

Price: $ 90
