Werner Krauss (1884-1959) Werner became famous for his German film company performances in the "Cabinet of Dr. Caligari"(1919), "A Midsummer Night's Dream"(1924) and "The Wax Works"(1924). In the 1930's Werner became an active Nazi supporter and made a few German films until the war was over, but he wasn't much in demand after that. |

Werner Krauss's bold signature on this vintage 3 3/8" x 5 3/8" unsent photo postcard crosses into a dark area, but is still very legible. There is an ink smudge in the lower right corner margin. The reverse has only the pre-printed postcard lines and place for a stamp. Price: $125
