Eight (of the 10) are 8.5” x 11” and two are slightly smaller. In matching frames they would make an impressive display in a business, office or home.
Lupe, a saucy, sexy, tempestuous and energetic Mexican actress, moved to Hollywood in 1926.
After having some success in both silent and sound movies, she became known as the 'Mexican Spitfire' and starred in a series of movies based on that name.
Lupe was a spitfire in life as well as on screen. Her marriage to Johnny Weissmuller from 1933 to 1938 was filled with spats that made the headlines on a regular basis.
After her marriage to Weissmuller ended, Lupe reportedly had serious but unsuccessful designs on other male stars. The story has it that, after being spurned by Clark Gable, Lupe took an overdose of sleeping pills and died laying down on a bed of flowers in her hairdresser’s salon.
The paper size is 8.5” x 11”. Minor marginal darkening from pencil smudges, but is in otherwise fine condition.
