Gilda Gray (1901-1959) Gilda was born in Poland and came to the U.S. in 1908. She appeared in many silent movies during the 1920's but, except for "Rose Marie"(1936), she had no film credits after 1929. She is credited by some as having invented the 'shimmy' dance. |
